Total Bulk Lighting offers a full range of popular Protected Pulse Start Metal Halide lamps, sold in bulk quantities at discounted prices. Choose from a full range of Protected  Pulse Start Metal Halide Lamps (bulbs) that have been the workhorse of the Metal Halide family of lamps for years. Pure white light, long life and exceptional quality make these lamps a standard for many applications. Protected metal halide lamps are made for open fixtures and have a tubular piece of glass around the arctube to prevent glass breakage. These are typically called an MP metal halide such as MP170 or MP400 as an example. They're often used in fixtures where they might be in close proximity to public areas. Open fixtures in the big box hardware stores are common applications. Protected Metal Halide lamps can be typically burned in almost any position. Be aware that Protected and Pulse Start metal halides must be run with a correct ballast and fixture that is matched for the wattage. These work in all kinds of fixtures that have no covering or are completely open. These are first quality Metal Halide Premium; no seconds or grey market lamps are ever sold on this web site.
